I purchased these for a new construction. They ran wires only. No terminations. The package says easy. What can go wrong? Everything.
I started with the diagram on the package and on the connector. I followed the color code and tested the connection. It failed. I work with electronics and wiring. I’m not a rookie. So, I started all over again and it failed. I tried many combinations with no joy. I spent a few hours doing this. I wrote down the combos I tried. I could not figure it out. I finally had enough and quite the project for now.
I looked up the reviews and found some helpful information. Apparently there are 2 wiring diagrams on the connector and packaging. A and B. WHAT? So I picked up the project again. I used the B wire diagram. I got my connectors, tools, tester and diagram. I made the connections and tested the wires and Viola! It passed the test. Crazy. So, for us in the USA, we use diagram B. The orange and green are the difference.
I can now do my project. Thanks to the folks that wrote good reviews on this product.

These jacks work fine for me, the first time out. The instructions could have been better explained. My network layout uses the B pin out. The pictures label on the bag and instructions show an A pin out. The B layout is slightly different. I suspect that is what other reviewers were having issues with. It’s a good product though. Using a punch down tool is very helpful too.

Same as previous review, bought the connector, wired as per the color codes on the back of the connector and it did not work. Then looked at the color codes on the package, and they don’t match. Searched the website for 30 minutes to get a third opinion, but cannot find any diagrams or wiring guides.
