The box of outlets I received said “tamper resistant,” but the outlets are definitely not tamper resistant. They do not say TR on them like the Eaton tamper resistant outlets I have bought in the past. I can also see that the little “door” that covers the inside of the holes is not there. My dad went to the near him, and found only one box out of many that contained tamper resistant outlets. So make sure to check the outlets before you buy and/or install them!!

This outlet is rather thick. Even though the yoke is flush with the mounting box, when the plate is installed the outlet sits out proud by about 3/16 of an inch. I suppose it’s due to the TR feature, i’m not sure. Not a big deal but seems a bit odd that other mfgr’s outlets are flush with the plate.

I ordered 50 White, Contemporary Style Outlets. I received 35 Outlets so far. They were all supposed to be TR= Tamper Resistance. However only 2 were Stamped=TR on their face. 33 were White, Contemporary Style Outlets but NOT TR. (1 was Beige, Contemporary Style Outlet, the other is Beige but Old Style.) All Mini Boxes state TR however most outlet mini boxes looked previously opened. Some outlets were upside down in their mini boxes. The 8 lighted, white, contemporary style single pole switches mini boxes state lighted however no way to tell if they are the lighted switches until you install them. Good Grief, Charlie Brown!

It’s ok, I miss the days of being able to buy a “pro” outlet that I knew would work for 20 years of plugging and unplugging. This one works but just fells rough and cheaply made.

Bought by accident along with other non TR receptacles. Normally avoid TR when not required, because I generally them to be a pain to insert many plugs, not worth the aggravation. This particular unit seems easy to use.

Easy installation and not too bulky. Installed as a bedroom redecoration project replacing all of the standard outlets in the room. The bulk of the room was painted a fairly dark gray and these outlets prevented them from becoming the focal points. I also liked that they are tamper resistant which helps to make the room safer for little ones.

I understand the purpose of tamper resistant, but these are TOO resistant and very hard to get many plugs in the sockets.

It is difficult if not impossible to insert a two-pronged plug into this receptacle

I purchased over 16 of these plugs and found that I needed one more plug. Unfortunately, the supplier changed colors in tonality and the one plug doesn’t match all my other plugs.
