I have to say I was a little bit skeptical at first. It also took me a little bit to get it hooked up into the wall, considering I’m not an electrician. Once I got everything connected properly and it was set in the wall I immediately wanted to try the Wi-Fi connection. This Wi-Fi 15A TR Receptacle Energy Mon WH, was unbelievable I mean I really didn’t think it would have the fast power. Not to mention I had no problem connecting once it was installed I definitely highly recommended this product.

Was so happy to switch this in my kitchen! It connects to WiFi and it’s so easy to set up. My husband had it switched out and connected in less then 10 min. The app is very easy to navigate. It also is compatible with Alexa and Google and works quite well. I love that I can control it with my phone. It’s great. It’s very nice, it looks nice to. It’s very well made and can definitely work in the kitchens or bathrooms.

Using the Wiser Home app with this receptacle and other Schneider Electric Wi-Fi devices allows you to easily set up and control your home appliances and lighting. I installed this receptacle to control a lamp in our foyer. The installation is just like installing any other receptacle except that the receptacle is large so you have to organize your wires neatly to make sure they fit in the box. Once installed, the connection to Wi-Fi is simple when following the instructions on the app. The app is easy to use and allows you to control the receptacle, set schedules, or even create scenes when combined with additional devices. There Are currently only a receptacle, plug, switch, and dimmer available for control through the app but it looks like they have plans to release additional devices. I also like that you can see energy usage of the devices in the app. Overall easy solution for home automation.

The Square D x Series Tamper Resistant Receptacle is both a smart plug and energy monitor. It works on a wireless frequency of 2.4 GHz and will fit a standard wall receptacle opening. The matching wall plate is screwless and snaps onto the receptacle. Overall the receptacle and wall plate took about 15-20 minutes to install provided your wall opening has ample room to accommodate the receptacle box. The installation instructions were basic and easy enough to follow but remember to turn off the circuit breaker before proceeding.
After installing the receptacle, I was able to download the Wiser Home App using a simple QR Code based installation process. The app allows you to power on/off the connected device as well as view the energy being used in real time. The receptacle works with Alexa and Google Assistant but you have to figure out the setup since the instructions don’t elaborate on that aspect. It also doesn’t require a hub in order to connect to the home internet which is a plus. In addition to remotely powering a single connected device on/off using Wi-Fi, it monitors your energy usage while the receptacle is in use.
This product has some helpful features if you are trying to reduce your energy consumption and lower your energy bill like I am. I am able to set up a schedule on the app for it to turn the receptacle on or off which doesn’t rely on internet connectivity. Overall, it seems like a decent product.

I’ll start off by talking about the install and how easy it was. Plus getting the Wi-Fi connected with super easy and all controlled with the app and it was super nice to have. I love the look of it against the wall and it honestly it’s awesome having it connected through Wi-Fi so I can have my coffee pot up and going in the morning or the toaster. Overall it’s very impressive and honestly the price is definitely worth it and I would expect this kind of product to be even more expensive than it was

I recently started using this product and I am very happy with it because it has resulted very convenient. It was very easy for me to set it up and use it. After setting it up and downloading the Wiser Home App Control on my phone I have been able to reduce energy consumption and enjoy wireless home automation. Using the app I am able to turn devices on or off at any time. Would highly recommend this equipment.

These install as easily as any conventional receptacle. They do take up the width and height of a full electric box so make sure you have the space for it before wiring it up. One thing of note is that it doesn’t monitor usage at the leads. Instead it monitors usage on only the smart switched outlet. This means that whatever is plugged into the always on outlet will not be monitored by the application. If you wanted to monitor the total power consumption of the full unit this is not a possibility with this unit. The Wi-Fi function and switching functions will work without a ground present so if you have an older home and there is no ground in your leg they will still function as intended. Setup with-in the app is a breeze and if you wait too long to interact with the outlet and it exits pairing mode then you can long press the manual switch button on the face of the unit to re-enter pairing mode. These fit well for my needs but with them only monitoring 1 of 2 outlets they may not be a match for yours.

This was my first smart outlet from this brand but my second overall. It was easy to install and didn’t take any more time
Than another one. Installed in basement for kids game room to monitor usage and keep energy usage down. App was quick and easy to use and adding outlet was simple. App allows monitoring and scheduling. Ideal for using for things like TVs/ lights that you want to keep plugged in but maybe not drawing power for. Only top unit is smart so keep in mind.

SO HAPPY with this plug!! I’m a novice when changing plugs but this plug was easy to install and now I have added security with the WIFI capability!
This Square D WIFI Energy saving receptacle was very easy for me to put in myself. Once I followed all the necessary steps to install it, I plugged a lamp in the front room, connected the plug to my WiFi and now I have the capability of turning on my light even if I am away from home. This plug is a cheaper solution than a full blown security system and it gives me the comfort of coming home to a house that is lit up instead of fumbling for the lights after I get in the house. HIGHTLY RECOMMEND!
Took less than 15 minutes to install and everything I needed was included in the box.

We have slowly started upgrading things in home to make everything “smart”, so we can control as much as possible remotely. We used this receptacle on an outlet with a light in our living room. I love being able to turn this on and off whenever I want from my phone, especially when we are traveling but want the house to look like someone is home. Also has come in handy at bedtime when I forgot to shut it off! Highly recommend and look forward to installing more.

I received this product a few weeks ago and my husband was able to install it quickly and easily. We really liked the wifi capability of it. We installed in the living room for the Christmas tree and other seasonal decor. Its so nice to be able to set the outlet to come on and turn off at certain times. My husband said it was easy to program and he has not had any issues with it.

First, the installation was easy enough. However, there is only one terminal screw per side so if the outlet isn’t installed at the end of a run, you will have to use the push-in terminals instead of looping the conductor around the terminal screw.
Operational-wise, I never got the device to connect with my home W-Fi. Before attempting to provision the unit, I changed the setting of my Wi-Fi network from 5GHz to 2.4GHz. After many attempts, I finally progressed to the stage where the device gets connected to a network. I selected the network and waited for several minutes, only to receive a message that my device “failed to connect to Wi-Fi. Restart the onboarding process”. After five or six attempts, I decided not to go any further.
The installation and activation instructions are minimal but adequate given that the unit is easy to install and should be easy to provision; however, there are no troubleshooting steps included.
This device might be fine for someone who “really” wants it to work, but I’m just now willing to invest the time as it would just be a novelty to me.

I have plenty of WIFI outlets around my house. They are bulky and stick out to far from the wall. These outlet replacements are great. They are easy to install just like a normal outlet. This fit into my standard box fine but if you have one with extra wires in it, you may need to upgrade to a bigger box. They make the room look much better. You can’t even tell its a WIFI outlet.. It was easy to setup as well. Just install the app, search, and your connected. The square faceplate fits this unit perfectly.
WIFI outlets are great for scheduling your lights to turn on and off. They are also nice because you can turn a light off without having to go back to the house or wherever it is. I love mine and may update a few other outlets soon!

The X Series 15A Smart outlet Square D by Schneider is perfect for my home. The decorator outlet has an elegant minimalist look, flush mounted, in a white mate, and no showing screws. It is impressive.
The receptacle has one always-on outlet and one smart outlet. You can control your lights and small appliances from anywhere using the Wiser Home application. This outlet is awesome to set the mood, setting schedules, or just turning it on and off with Alexa or Google Home. The Wiser app has energy monitoring that keeps track of the energy used. The outlet is deep, so you need lots of room in your box for installation.
I particularly like it has a Green PremiumTM label demonstrating Schneider Electric’s commitment to delivering products with environmental performance.
Check out the other devices in the X series, they are impressive. I am sold on an excellent product.

Easy install. Remove the old outlet – spend a few minutes straightening out the copper and then insert into the new outlet. Now before you continue check your box and look for a sticker with a QR code. Stick that on to the outlet and there is a little card it comes with and stick that sticker onto the card (you’ll need it if you want to setup the wifi options and if you paid this much for the plug why would you not set it up)
Setup is relatively painless with the app. Can have automated schedules or self selected on off.
Maybe I’m a new homeowner and young but I couldn’t figure out what tamper resistant meant and if you’re like me spent a few moments googling all that means is that the insertion points of the plug have a little thing inside to prevent someone from putting a fork in it. It’s black and unobtrusive and a nice touch.
It’s solid option to have on a few select spots around the house but otherwise is kind of an expensive thing to get right now. Hopefully the price comes down in the future.

I am very pleased with this outlet. It was installed easily-as expected. It can connect to wi-fi so this is essentially a smart plug. Items plugged in can be turned on or off through your phone. We have installed it in our front hallway and have a lamp that is set to come on and off in the evening hours. It is perfect. I was happy with how well the app and the system works as we have had other wi-fi connected products not work as well.
The benefits of this are: wi-fi connected. Easy to connect/use. Does not take up any extra space like a smart plug would (it looks like any other outlet).
I recommend this product for your home.

I received the Square D 15A receptacle a few weeks ago and it works great. I am not an electrician and I am afraid of electricity but this was easy to install and use. It’s nice to have a smart outlet instead of a plug so you don’t have anything sticking out. App setup was easy and even has voice controls. It also has a manual button on the outlet in order to control it.

This was an okay product, having the wifi system has proven to be okay. I think it would be really useful for outlets out of reach or a christmas tree outlet. Installation was another challenge in it self. Maybe it was just my individual experience but it was a lot of words in a little outlet receptacle. Was kind of difficult with all the words but we got it working and safely as well. You should always remember to turn off your power to the room prior to changing anything electrical

I have liked the idea of home automation since the early 1980’s, but the electrical control products back then just weren’t reliable enough for me. More recently, there are a large number of options to choose from, but many of the cheaper units are poorly engineered (and some downright unsafe). When I saw that Square-D, a large, established company, was now producing home automation products, I decided to give them a try. This X Series Decora-style outlet is very easy to set up. Physically installing it was quick, as both around-the-screw and under-the-clamp options are available. Less than 10 minutes later, I had the control app installed on my phone, an account created, and was toggling the outlet on and off. I am always concerned with what information Internet-of-Things devices might be sending back to the manufacturer. However, this is an outlet, and it could only really tell them it’s on or off. I did try disconnecting our router from our cable modem and I was still able to control the outlet without issue. Of course, I’d lose the ability to control the outlet from anywhere outside of the house. One suggestion for privacy-concerned users: if your Internet router offers a “guest” WiFi network option, which grants them access to the Internet but prevents access to other devices on your home network, choose that one when setting up the outlet in the app on your phone. If you’re looking for a quality remote-controlled outlet from a name brand, I would recommend this one; I am very happy with it.
