   The salesman in the electrical aisle was very helpful and in spite of web site showing one of an exact duplicate of what I had there was none. He showed me this which also works with other devices and was $3 cheaper. It also has a light which is helpful for indicating when the outdoor plugs are working or not.

   The size and color a perfect to store in my tool box or vehicle glove compartment. I intend to buy more to have in the house, my camper and other vehicles. I use this lamp post often to vacuum my car and hedge trimmer. Safety First.

   When I was an electrician, I wired in many GFI receptacles, but they were stationary, or in the House wiring panel. Finally, I have one I can take with me to where I need to use when I am on the move. Outside lights for the holidays, or ANY time I am using electrical devices near ‘anything wet. Plug and Play – in safety!!!

   This works just like it should. One nice feature is that it defaults to “ON” if power to the receptacle is lost and then restored. This is great for me as I use in in a ceiling plug in the garage for my retractable extension cord. I will only have to get the ladder out if the GFCI trips, which will be like never.

    I purchased one last year and realized it was no longer working – I only use it in the winter. Purchased two more to have as replacements and they did not work right out of the package. They are NOT UL Listed either!!!! I didn’t realize that until I looked for the label. Do NOT use them if they are not UL tested and listed.

    I bought this for the cord that goes to my pool pump. It works great for turning the power on and off, plus it gives the added shock/surge protection since its used near water.
