Eaton’s AFCI receptacles provide protection against unseen arc faults that can result in electrical fires. Eaton’s arc fault technology reduces unwanted tripping due to inference from devices or appliances. With a 20A feed-through rating, arc fault protection extends to all down-stream devices and electrical cords when installed properly. Terminal screws are backed out and ready to wire. The durable impact resistant thermoplastic face and back body are virtually unbreakable.
- White finish TR AFCI receptacle offers a 15-amp, 125-volt capacity for long-term indoor use
- Convenient back and side wiring; tapered back wire openings handle multiple wire sizes and types for applications up to #10 AWG solid or stranded wire
- Protects against arc faults in wiring resulting from damaged insulation and other causes that can lead to electrical fires
- Now with black TR shutters providing a cleaner, sleeker look
- Eaton’s arc fault technology reduces unwanted nuisance tripping due to inference from devices or appliances
- When downstream receptacles are wired from load side, a 20 amp feed-through rating offers full protection
- Tri-combo head terminal and mounting screws included
- Heavy duty thermoplastic construction for unsurpassed chemical and impact resistance
- Visual indicator lights give quick notification of a tripped or end of life condition

I’m not an electrician so I’m very careful when changing switches and outlets. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The safety instructions ensures that wire crossing and burn outside wont occur due to installation. Very pleased.

Needed product fir latest home flip worked really great

Needed new outlet. Worked as designed.

This was supposed to be a tamper resistant GFCI outlet. There were no shutters in the socket that I’d normally see on TR sockets. Once connected, the outlet prevented power from going to anything on that circuit breaker, even though everything else tested fine. It would not reset, either even when disconnected. I ended up returning this.

Didn’t work so returned it for a better one!

Useful as a code update/safety improvement for locations where locally reachable reset makes more sense than an arc fault breaker at a panel. Just my opinion but I think Cooper/Eaton devices have a better build quality than Leviton. Glad is stocking more of their products; too bad none of these are US-made.

There aren’t a lot of AFCI characteristics that are easily tested by a consumer, but not long ago I bought a new Black & Decker drill that dependably nuisance-tripped several AFCI receptacles in my home made by that OTHER manufacturer (rhymes with Leviton). I even returned the drill, and its replacement just as dependably caused the same nuisance tripping. So then I bought my first Eaton AFCI receptacle and the issue completely disappeared. Last night I bought my 2nd Eaton, and cannot generate any nuisance trips with that one either. I also appreciate the wider reset button that’s easier to actuate. Easier resets may result in more frequent testing, so that’s just smart design.
