Eaton’s GFCI Duplex Receptacles are designed with the safety of the user in mind and are fully compliant with all the latest NEC code requirements. GFCIs provide state-of-the-art, dependable electrical shock protection, and conduct an automatic self-test periodically to ensure the integrity of GFCI protection. The devices incorporate a safety lock-out feature that protects against mis-wired line-load connections that can cause damage to the GFCI circuitry. In addition to being tested to the highest standards to help ensure safety, GFCIs will deny power and prevent re-setting if the device is no longer able to provide safe, protected power.
- Slimmer design for easy installation, leaving more room for wires in the box
- Automatically self tests periodically to ensure GFCI protection
- GFCIs incorporate lock-out functionality to protect against mis‑wired line‑load connections and GFCI circuitry damage
- Wider button wells for easy TEST and RESET
- Intuitive LED status indicators for trip and end of life states
- Clean, modern industrial design with reduced top housing markings and neutral text direction on buttons
- Automatic grounding system eliminates need for bonding jumper in grounded metal enclosure, provides redundant measure of ground continuity where jumper is used
- External backwire clamps provide visual confirmation of secure termination
- Line side terminals are backed out and staked for fast installation

GFCI for the Bathroom was ok for 2 outlets. The one outlet did not indicate a light. The power was provided, but the indicator light did not work. I had to undo all the work to return one outlet. Remember a pack of 3 needs to be returned, not swopped out.

Originally grabbed a 15 amp, then realized I was on a 20 amp breaker. Exchanged for a 20 amp since I also have a dehumidifier on this line.

I installed this unit and it makes a very loud buzz when you try and reset it. You typically have to try twice to reset it. I notified Eaton support, they replied that it is a known defect that engineering is aware of. They said that it’s safe to use and they are attempting to redesign it.
Here is their reply:
We have received feedback about the GFCI issue. Good news is that it is not a safety concern and no issues with continuing to use the device. Our engineering team is aware of the issue and is making changes in production to fix the issue in the future. It is due to a dimensional issue within the device not allowing the solenoid to deenergize. Let me know if you have any further questions.
I have a video of the problem but it wouldn’t let me post it from my phone file.

I got home, opened up the box to find a completely different model in it. I had to make another trip to exchange it… what are these guys stocking on their shelves!!

This is one of those tamper-proof outlets. Not sure if I got a defective one but it’s almost impossible to get anything plugged into it

Installation easy and straightforward. Shockingly simple. I wasn’t sure watt to get and this was currently the best option it seemed. It didnt amp up the difficulty for installation and definitely worth charging into the store to get if a new GFCI is needed to light up your life.

I like the product but double billed me and caused my credit card company to suspend my card as they suspected a fraudulent purchase.
