Quality connector, robust and very well built. Kind of pricey and much larger than other connectors of the same NEMA configuration but they are very easy to terminate and assemble. Built to last.

Using it with a generator, the plug feels safely and solidly connected, and there is plenty of grabbing area to feel safe when plugging and unplugging.

Seems like an ok product, heads of screws were a little soft so be careful to not strip them during assembly. Was a bit of a tight fit over the insulation of 10/4 300V flexible power cable.

Nice design, great for what it is used for. Needed this for a trailer hookup. Sadly, the one that came in the box was missing the actual plug part and it went back to the store for are refund.

After Two to many frequent power outages ( blamed on “fallen trees” even though the Utility had contracted right of way completed just earlier this year ) I purchased these to make extension cords for my recently purchased portable generator .
The quality of fit and finish is Impeccable .

Really liked the quality of this product, it was easy to Install the wires and was able to put on the machine we were fixing for our customer and use to run test on the unit.

Hard to think of an argument against this plug – it’s exactly what it advertises itself to be. I had a 230V, 30A motor for a dust collector with bare wired cabling. As such, I needed to wire up a plug for my L14-30 plug.
The contacts themself are inserted through the back and you just use the screws to bring the contact plate forward to be snug on your wire. There are helpful labels on the back end of the plug to make it very obvious neutral/hot/hot/ground.
I found the screws to be a *little* stiff at first but I am happy for that. Shows that the plates wont just randomly slip.
It’s hard to see in this, but there’s a rubber gasket you put your wires through at the back. Appreciate this extra protection.
The clamping system (white clips) at the back are hearty and will keep the wires from going anywhere.
If you’re using stranded wire like I am, don’t forget the CCW turning of the copper to ensure you get the wire through!

Tightened all of the screws down and had to back one out to reinsert a wire when I did this it stripped out way too easy. You can buy these online for half the price and I won’t buy this type of item here again for that reason.

In order to make my generator plug and play regarding my 220 volt submersible water pump, I needed to add a plug and receptacle inline to the existing water pump electrical. Lowe’s had just what a needed to make the job a simple install.
