Description The EZ-FLO 15 Amp self-testing ground fault circuit interrupter outlet provides continuous protection from ground faults. The receptacle will disconnect power in 1/40 of a second if a dangerous condition is detected. Once connected to power this GFCI receptacle automatically self-tests every 2-1/2 hours giving you peace of mind. The LED Indicator display has 3 light indicators – (Green) GFCI is powered on and working properly,(Red) Blinks to alert you the unit has reached its end of life and needs to be replaced, (OFF) light turns off if the outlet is not receiving power or a ground fault protection has occurred for your safety. With a new slimmer design and capability for back and side wire, EZ-FLO receptacles are easy to install. An installation manual and wall plate are included in each package.

This unit worked fine at first, but failed after 3 days. Started clicking loudly at regular intervals (about 2 seconds apart) and then more quickly. After about 90 seconds the clicking stopped and I could smell burnt electronics. Removed unit from the wall and it was hot. Will be returning for refund.

The item description states “ Slim modern design for an easy fit in electrical boxes” but it is the exact same size as every other GFCI outlet. I have an old gang box that is smaller than the current standard gang box size and was looking for a GFCI outlet that would be slightly more narrow in the back than the standard GFCI outlets. This one advertises itself to be just that but it is exactly the same size as every other GFCI outlet.

Of the 2 I purchased I had to return 1 due to the ground wire screw being stripped/cross threaded therefore was not able to safely install. The other one was fine and works as it should.
