I grabbed these connectors to future proof my coaxial connections. I also like that these have an overall better build quality than some of the lower tier connectors.

As usual, a product that looks to good to be true fails! After I brought it home I discovered you were supposed to have a specific tool to “crimp” the connectors. Of course, at additional cost. Now I have half a brain and a full tool box, so I used needle nose pliers first, and that connector pulled off with little effort. I used regular electrical stripper/pliers on the next connector and, as I suspected, it too pulled off. Eventually, on my 4th connector, I found that wire cutters, using pressure without cutting the connector case, finally held on, but I have no confidence the coaxial wire will not pull out in the near future!

Really like these crimps compared to the screw on type. Easy to use.

Simple to install. Worked exactly as described. I used an older simple tool Ideal #30-433 that I bought a few years ago and it worked perfectly. ie. I didn’t have to purchase the fancy expensive tool that they sell now. Installation of my attic antenna was a breeze.

Great for the DIY type who just needs to repair a cable. Doesn’t require the special crimping or compression tool.
