The IDEAL Cat 6 single piece RJ-45 modular plugs are designed to simplify and improve the consistency of cable to connector termination of Cat 6 modular plugs to twisted pair cables. Anyone who has assembled traditional multi-piece Cat 6 modular plugs knows it is a time consuming and often error-prone process. This new design features Wire ramps to help guide the 8 conductors into place without the need to use separate sled and liner pieces in the assembly process.

These RJ45 work well with CAT6e cable. I’ve used others before but the extra shielding of CAT6e make it hard. These allow for that extra bulk and fit full inside RJ45 connector. Simple and easy to make perfect connection every time.

A warning to anyone who has previously bought the IDEAL Data Voice RJ45/RJ11 Modular Plug Crimp Tool Kit Data Crimper. These connectors don’t work with that crimper as they require an extra step of cutting the excess wire from the end of the connector after crimped. The Ideal crimper in that kit can’t do that. No idea why you’d have different crimpers and connectors from the same brand that aren’t compatible. doesn’t even sell the connectors needed to go with the crimper in that kit so once you run out of the 10 or so in the kit, you’re out of luck. Very disappointed.

When inserting the cat5e or cat6 cable then small holes for the wires are too far away, so the small wires are twisting well your inserting the cable into the connector. Made them work after fighting a few. Luckily I wasn’t in a hurry

Come defective from manufacturing.. doesnt fit into ethernet port whereas other rj45 do. horrible

Bought these modular plugs along with an Ideal crimper. Very impressed with both! I wish I would have learned to do this a long time ago. You can make your own cable and have it just the right length.

Just get the ones with the sleds instead… harder, but make a better connection. As for the review that says, “doesnt fit into ethernet port whereas other rj45 do” [sic].Sir… crimp your connector before inserting. The undepressed pins create an interference fit.
