Cat 5e 8P8C (eight position/eight contact) modular plug connectors which support TIA/EIA standards for twisted pair cabling up to 100 MHz. IDEAL modular plugs are designed to work seamlessly with the IDEAL Telemaster series of modular plug Crimp Tool. Plugs are designed and manufactured to support all 100 Ohm cable wiring schemes including the widely used TIA-568A and TIA-568B configurations. IDEAL modular plugs are manufactured to strict industry standards and tolerances that utilize traditional preparation and termination methods. These proven and preferred methods allow for improved compatibility among manufacturers and devices around the world without the need for special tooling or preparation methods and eliminate the risk of shorts and crosstalk often associated with open end or feed through type connectors.

Excellent product. Protects cable connections and easy to use.

The data end pack made running new cables to the tv and other data devices a cinch!

Easy to use and crimp. It would’ve been nice to have a tray to line the pairs up in prior to crimping but overall this is a great product.

very easy to use if you have the proper crimp tool. cheaper than buying new cables when the little plastic snaps break

This product helped me to wire my home fully

Nicely made, but they are no the pass-thru type of plugs. The pass-thru style is much easier to manage. Also, ethernet plugs need a special crimper to complete the connection.

Great boots to put over the jacks. Would definitely buy again as I have more cables to build

Overall these connectors work well with a good crimper. The contacts pierce the wires as they should and leave a nice firm connection that doesn’t seem to come out so far. Additionally the boots are of good quality and do offer some strain relief. Speeds and contacts work well with a wide array of cable and switches, routers, and couplers. I’ve yet to have any issues with any of the cables I’ve created myself. This is a much more cost effective route to go than constantly buying a bunch of pre-made cables all the time, plus you get to cut your own lengths and its fun. Always more fun to see something you made yourself work the first time and continue to work. This way you also get to choose your own wiring which I’ve found to often be thicker and of better quality than many pre-made cables which seem more fragile.
Overall these are good RJ45 connectors and good boots I just wish more connectors came in the box as it’s a pretty steep price for so few connectors even though they are good quality. You can get a box or bag of 100 or 50 of these online for less or slightly more without the boots, but shipping takes time so if you’re in a pinch this is a good way to go and a 90 day return window is a great thing through .
Pics are of the cable I created Blue compared to the more fragile pre-made one. Other picture shows what comes in the box minus the cable and the helpful instruction card which is an improvement over the old one.
