It seems to me that when I purchased the new monitor along with the CPU, HP should have informed me that I needed this piece for the final hook up

I had very old monitors and didn’t want to get rid of them because they worked just fine. GOt these adaptors so i could connect to my new computer and they worked great. Kept my old monitors and saved lots of money.
